This is the top 40 from some time in 2010. Most of these songs are pop songs so this shows pop is a successful genre of music therefore people would be willing to buy a pop magazine. Also I don't think there are a lot of pop magazines aimed at an older audience. So including these artists that would appear to be 'bad role models' for a younger audience would make an older audience more interested in reading the magazine.

For my photos I need;
- A camera.
- Props.
- Band members.
Also to edit my photos and cut out the images etc I will be using photoshop.
To make my front cover, double page spread and contents page, I will be using Indesign.

Taking the photos
I organised a day for four boys to be ready and take photos of them posing as a boyband.
I asked them all to dress similar to show they are part of the band and took a variety of photos of them so I could choose the best one.
The photos I took for my front cover are all mid-angle shots because only part of their torso needed to be shown, the main feature are their faces.
Although for the contents page and double page spread I wanted full body shots so the reader can engage in what they are doing and look at what they are wearing.
I wanted all my members to be looking at the camera but one to be looking away this will make the reader wonder what they are looking at. The direct mode of address connects the reader and the band. The indirect mode of address may suggest that the member of the band looking away is shy or mysterious.

Photography
In the half term I took my photos for the double page article. I used props when taking my photo's.
These included;
-football
-instruments
I didn't want a lot of props because I wanted the artist to be the main focus.
For my contents page I have taken photos of the band, fan photos and one of the poster photos, In the double page spread I would like to include 3 or more photos.
